I'm an experienced and qualified tour guide, knowledgeable about Oxford. I hold the Green Badge accredited by the Institute of Tourist Guides and I am also a member of the professional association, the Oxford Guild of Tour Guides.

I have lived in Oxford for many years and have studied at the University of Oxford as well as Oxford Brookes University. I trained as a tour guide because I love the City and its history and traditions and really enjoy showing people round and sharing stories with you.

I trained as a guide following a successful career as a senior manager and consultant in education. I have lived in Switzerland, Germany and the United States and I also speak French.I have access to a number of other guides to help me and all are fully insured and qualified so you can be sure of a high quality visit.

You will leave Oxford with good memories and hopefully you will want to come back and see more- or even come back and study here!

Following a career in Commercial insurance I trained as a tour guide and now hold the Green Badge qualification for both the City of Oxford and the City of Westminster.

In addition to walking tours in the cities I also give tours of the Cotswold towns of Burford and Bampton; the outside filming location of Downton Abbey and the fictional home of Mel Starr’s medieval surgeon Hugh de Singleton. I regularly speak and give presentations to clubs and societies on topics including: Oxford and its Colleges, Theatreland, Mayfair ,The Royal Hunting Grounds.

I am an ITG Green Badge accredited tour guide and a member of the Oxford Guild of Tour Guides. I am also a graduate of both the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University and have lived in Oxford for many years, guiding professionally for the last 10 years.

I give general tours of the City and University of Oxford and also the following specialist tours: Literary Oxford, Oxford’s place in the history of Science and Medicine, Harry Potter film locations, Gargoyles and Grotesques and Jewish Heritage. I am accredited by the ITG to give tours in French. I also have degrees in Russian and Spanish and speak some German and Hebrew.

I'm a qualified Oxford Green Badge Guide and enjoy leading general public and private tours around the city, as well as offering specialist tours in science, Film Sites, Benefactors, the Downton Abbey Era, Basic English and Harry Potter. I also lead tours around the village of Bampton, the location used for filming the village scenes in TV’s Downton Abbey.

A Linguistics graduate and musician, when I'm not leading walking tours, I’m to be found playing viola in various orchestras and conducting a number of local choirs.

I have been in the travel industry for over 20 years and have been fortunate to travel all over the world. I've been a tour guide in the Netherlands and a holiday representative in Turkey. My work has taken me to America, Canada and Australia.

I trained as a Green badge guide in Oxford and I love discovering its secrets and sharing them with the groups I guide. As well as the general tour I offer specialist tours including Inspector Morse, Film sites, Harry Potter, Gargoyles and Grotesques, Literary Oxford, Downton Abbey and Bampton, and of course Alice in Wonderland.

Lucy studied Classics at Jesus College, Oxford and went on to complete a Masters at Wolfson College, Oxford in Medieval Literature and History. When not giving tours of the city she works as a guide in three of Oxford’s museums - the Ashmolean,  the Pitt Rivers Museum and the Museum of the History of Science.

Oxford is my home and I am one of the city’s newest qualified guides and a member of the Institute of  Tour Guides (ITG).  The accredited guiding community in Oxford is very professional and mutually supportive so we can give all visitors a ‘tailored’ experience.  My particular interests might be the history, literature and horticulture of Oxford, but Morse, Harry Potter and punting feature too.

It’s wonderful work to be able to tour the streets of Oxford and share its’ stories, old and new, with interested and interesting visitors from overseas and the UK.  It’s our job to inform, entertain and make sure you want to return.

I am a member of the Oxford Guild of Tour Guides. I graduated in History and History of Art and have family links to the City and University of Oxford.

Let me guide you around the bustling City of Oxford, uncovering its fascinating historical past, whilst you imagine yourself walking in the footsteps of scholars, scientists, politicians and writers.

I hold a Oxford History Degree so have personal first hand experience of studying here and of Oxford’s customs and traditions. I am a Green Badge Oxford City Guide as well as a Blue Badge Guide for surrounding areas such as Blenheim Palace, Woodstock and the Cotswolds.

I am also a London Blue Badge Guide so can combine touring Oxford with trips to Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock, Highclere, Bath, Windsor Castle, Salisbury and Winchester.

I studied at Oxford University before working for the BBC for almost thirty years. I then worked for Oxford University before training as a Green Badge Guide for the city of Oxford.

As well as leading general tours of the university and city, I enjoy the variety of several specialised tours. These tours include Inspector Morse and Lewis, Film Oxford, Oxford in the Civil War, Literary Oxford and the Oxford of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkein.

I was born near Oxford, educated at Lord Williams’ Grammar School, Thame, and have been a qualified Oxford Green Badge Guide for eleven years, following a career in photography in the Fleet Air Arm and the Survey Branches of the Royal Navy, and subsequently in the automotive and I.T. industries, based in Oxford.

I am a Green Badge guide (Oxford), a place I have called home since 1987. I have first degrees in History, French and Spanish, a Master’s degree in Theology and a postgraduate teaching qualification from the University of Oxford. Before becoming a teacher I was a police interpreter and worked in PR for Raymond Blanc and at St Anne’s College (Oxford).

I enjoy guiding - Oxford is similar to where I grew up (Salzburg). I am well informed on what is going on in the city. I like nothing more than spending time in the Bodleian Library and so create bespoke tours.
